Chris and Meredith: don't look back in anger

A poor day for the Warriors who struggled to get a team together after Wales had almost beaten england in the world cup that morning. No excuse though for going down, not only for the 1st time at home but a record defeat at that. For some reason no full review appeared in the press.
Again David Simmonds from the BBC was on hand to witness events (two Challenge Shield losses and beaten by the Hospital - its a wonder we beat Cefneithin with him there!!) and the team was only able to take the field once Chris Hancock had got hold of some mates. In the end some late arrivals meant there were even some substitutions but it was all in vain after boys like Richard Evans had been thrown in at the deep end. Chris Bonar led the side in the absence of Jason Jenkins and 7 players made debuts.
Warriors XV: Dai Spiggs, Meredith Pugh, Lee 'Louchor' Lewis (I think its Lewis), John Davies, Alun Stephens, David Edwards, Jon Jones, Gwilym Lewis, Chris Bonar(Cpt) (Chris Hancock, Paul Louchor), Chris Spriggs, Richard Evans (Lee 'Chris hancocks friend', Simon Bevan), Roger Thomas, John Horwood, Lee Rowlands (Chris Reiley), Dai Newson, Chris Hancock Friend #2,
Try: John Davies
