Played at Pantyffynnon, a make shift Betws XV fell heavily to the in form Warriors on a cold and windy day.

Warriors XV: Dai Spriggs, Colin Talcon, Lee Rowlands, Lee Jones, Robert Bevan, Jonathan Jones, Dean Gilasbey, Ed Williams, Jason Jenkins, Mike Spriggs, John Horwood, Stephen Walley, Ray Millet, Dai Newson (Cpt), Gwilym Lewis
Tries: Dai Spriggs, Lee Rowlands, Jonathan Jones, Gwilym Lewis, Dai Newson (2)
Conversions: Dai Spriggs (5)
Penalty: Dai Spriggs
Man of the match: Colin Talcon/Dai Newson
Despite missing numerous players the Warriors were able to lend Betws Mathew Phillips, Evil Mike Esney and Gary James who only arrived after a desparate car chase. Betws only had 6 players when the Warriors arrived so did well to field a team at all. Daniel James becoming the latest (and youngest) of the James dynasty to feature for the club under the watchful eye of Grandad Jams. It was a cracking match though with the Warriors even having supporters in Neil Edwards and Rhian David. Betws top player was outside half Nick price whose main contribution was to make sure all the kick outs landed on Gwilym's head (along with half the pack)
Once back in the warmth of the club Wales managed to beat France in an fantastic game of rugby which went right down to the wire.
Math Phillips refused point blank to drinkt the pint of wych traditionally presented to Betws debutants and even Louie turned his nose up at it so repsect to Steve Walley for stepping in. The afternoon took its toll on Dai Nusiance, Gwilym, Rob Bev and Rhian (although Rhian is convinced it was the chicken curry that made her ill.)
Thanks to Steve Dobbin O'Neil for reffereeing the game and Panty for letting us use the pitch at the last minute.
Betws XV; G James, Daniel James, Matthew Jones, Mathew Phillips, Andrew Williams, Alan Williams, Nick Price, Anthony Mainwarring, Gary James, Leighton Rees, Richard Jones, Cellan Davies, Nick James, Mike Esney.
