Burry Port 0 Llanelli Warriors 14 (Match 26)

Programme cover (that photo's done the round mind)

On their 7th visit to Burry Port the Warriors finally managed a victory. The rain didn't help either side play well but it certainly aided the Warriors win with Burry Port struggling to get a team. Best excuse Gary Shed recivied was "I'm going to have a bath" hence the references to soap/clean etc in the review. Not that the Warriors were worried having finally laid their Burry Port jinx. Gary James, Lee Barber and Barry Williams all played a full match for the home team while Colin Talcon, Lee Rowlands, Ed Williams, Wayne James, Nigel Merrick and Les 'snakey' Williams shared a half for each side. Barry Williams showed up at Burry Port to play for the Warriors but ended up playing for the opposition, exactly as his brother had done the season before. (Well they are related to Millet)

Mike Spriggs had an 'interesting' game at fly half, Keith Williams finally made his debut while Ray Millet became the 1st Warriors to make 25 apperances. he celebrated alone as Daryl Watkins didn't play ("it was raining"). he broke his self imposed no alchol diet but this didn't cause to much concern as it was broken weekly at trimsaran Workies anyway. The Warriorettes instigated a move to the Killkenney Cat but dai Spriggs won 'last to bed', last seen in the Moonraker.
