Cardiff Saracens 30 Llanelli Warriors 31 (Match 57)

(Llanelli Warriors 0 Llanelli Hospital 41 lower down)
Llanelli Star review

Having travelled West the Warriors next headed east to play Cardiff Saracens on the day of the Wales v France international. Richie Griff (who brought his own supporters in DG and Terry)and Mat '2nd row! are you serious' Gadjets made rare apperances for the Warriors and helped them to a very narrow and at half time improbable victory. After the match there was video highlights back in the clubhouse before the team enjoyed the international day atmosphere. The bus trip up was entertaining only if you like mystery tours but Gwilym was pleased to get one up on his brother Owain.
it didn't look at all like a win at half time and the Saracens eased off notably after the break. It was tough going for the Warriors but there were some good performances to secure the victory.

(Don't know how I missed this one)

Llanelli Star again

Not a good day for the Warriors as they slipped to a record defeat against a very good Hospital XV. Although the Warriors could point to the fact they were a bare XV it was a good side that should have managed better. The scoreline was probaly a bit harsh but the Wariors have been lucky before now.
the Hospitals rugby Mastermind, Spike sdmitted afterwards that at 1/2 time he was still worried and warned his players the Warriors could still come back but it just never happened. In the end the Warriors probaly starting trying too hard and got frustrated. It was only the 2nd time the Warriors had failed to score and the 1st time at home.
Warriors XV: Dai Spriggs, Lee Rowlands, Alun Stephens, Lee Jones, Meredith Pugh, Jonathan Jones, Des Williams, Colin Talcon, Andrew Evans, Chris Hancock, John Horwood, Steve Walley, Gary James, Dai Newson (Cpt), Gwilym Lewis
Colin Talcon was named man of the match after moving from wing to prop.
