Match programme

At the request of Hafan y Coed women were considered for the team for the 1st time. A band of 6 was quickly whittled down but eventually Lisa Madden, Tanya Haddock, Claire Darkins and Lisa Madden took their places in the squad. As it turned out Hafan y Coed managed to raise an all male team although one female replacment did take to the field.
Claire and tanya were chosen to start but Tanya missed the kick off leaving Claire to become the 1st female Warrior. Yvonne and Lisa took over at half time. Despite their inexperience the women did well enough and avoided nominations for 'skill of the day'. Dean being swung into touch as he tried to kick a ball was well captured on video and Rob Bevan hacking the ball the wrong way up the field would have been funny had it not lost 50m of territory but debutant Phil Ruddal came up trumps. recruited by Gary James the night before whilst duing 'Bow influenced hand stands in Burry Port club, if you watch the video of his length of the field interception try you can see him go different shades of green. Other incidents included Yvonne and Lisa double tackling one poor lad - hands on in the shorts region and Jon Bonar flattening another. 7 Players made debuts and Ed McVicar was named man of the match.
Record unbeaten run was extended to 6 matches
