The game produces a grand Slam of local press coverage with reviews in the Llanelli Star (above), Evening Post, South Wales Guardian and Carmarthen Journal (all below)
The Warriors topsy turvy season contiuned, as they went from shipping 64 points to scoring 49. Janes had a memorable day as he scored both off and on the field and Jason Jenkins became the 5th player to score a record equalling hatrick while Meredith scored his 1st points for the club. Please note the Nigel Evans mention as the Warriors fitness guru as it's probaly the most outragous thing the Star has ever printed. Deano made a small comeback on his bad knee while Taylor and Darren Davies appeared for Cefn.

Don't know what it was about this fixture but as well as the 4 reviews above there is a full report here from the Guardian or Cefneithin's site here.
This was the year that the after match raffle was almost as entertainning as the game and £500 was raised. Wales win over Italy was again almost un noticed in the beer/songfest that the Cefneithin fixture. Every player was presented with a tie whilst men of the match Chris Bonar and Colin Talcon had tops presented. The raffle turned out a fine selections of wine/chocolates and other stuff but Meredith Pugh came out top with 2 bottles, a free pint and a jersey. To be fair he did more than his share of singing along with Jumpin' and Jason. It's a miracle that all we forgot was the kit and Jason's fleece. Once back in town the Warriorettes had enough and headed off to the Ginger Tree while others headed towards the bright lights and oblivion.
