Ken Bowen organised a strong Llannon XV on behalf of the village schools PTA. They controlled the match throughout but were never able to get totally clear of the Warriors. Towards the end of the match the Warriors fight back got them to within a score but a final Llannon effort secured the result.
Dai Spriggs and Dai Newson shared the man of the match award. Freebie for his immaculate kicking and Nusiance for his trade mark bursts including one 40 meter effort from which he scored. They were pushed all the way though by Chris Bonar who made some good yards (some of them even straight ahead) and John Horwood who did well in lineouts and howed up in the loose. ray Millet ended something of a personal try drought and Mike Spriggs outscored his son with a touchdown. Trebanos hooker Steve Phillips and John Martin made debuts for the club. Martin played 10 while Phillips scored two tries. Jon Bonar hdid well to play at all considering his hangover whilst Lee Rowlands got a second decent career injury when he dislocated his thumb. many peolpe almost seriously injured themselves laughing when Louie ran the line in shorts and Long Johns.
Ken Bowen expressed his thanks for the fixture and enthused over the enjoyment Llannon got out of it. 90 programmes were sent out to parents with the monies shared between the club and the PTA
