above review appeared in Llanelli Star, smaller review ('Warriors on warpath') appeared in the SW Guardian.
The first match in the now legendary Cefn - Warriors fixture. Organised by occasional Warrior Anthony Bonar, the Warriors were overwhelmed, not only by the great macth spirit but also the welcome in the club afterwards. As well as an entertaining raffle which raised much needed funds for tour, there was the exceptional atmosphere of international day in a Welsh rugby club. singing and drinking were the least of it with a great hywl about the whole day, from arrival, through the Warriors and Welsh match and into the evening.
various prizes were handed out including the whole front row (which including subs came to 6 players) getting t shirts for man of the match. wales beat Italy with Scott Quinnell named man of the match - hence the reference in the match report (Dai has yet to buy the reporter a pint)
