The improvment the Warriors had made in a couple of matches was evident when they gained revenge over the Gladiators for their earlier defeat in St. helens. Played just after the Llanelli match against Newport the Warriors rounded off the season at Stradey with some impressive rugby. Whilst they only managed 2 tries they went close on a number of occasions, not least when Andrew Russ dislocated his shoulder at the end of the match attempting to ground the ball. Robert Bevan made a sound debut.
It left the Warriors with a reasonable record of played 7, won 3, lost 4 in their 1 st full season.
