The Warriors gained swift revenge with an epic preformance at Stradey Park. Played as a curtain raiser to a British Isles v New Zealand Legends match, the Warriors scored 5 tries to regain the Challenge shield.
A cracking all round performance from the Warriors with defence as important as attack. Ref Ken Bowen was probaly as suprised as anyone as before the game he had asked the Warriors: "Are you sure about this, jave you seen the size of them!" Apart from theri own rugby the Warriors were also happy to note paul Rowley (who works in llanelli at Heol Goffa SAC) forgeting to ground the ball despite being over the line. Mike Spriggs made a debut to form the 1st Warriors' father son partnership with Dai.
The Legends game was a bit of a damp squib as the British Isles team was heavily beaten. They had a number of withdrawals and the side had obviously been thrown together. Geriant Lewis the Pontypridd wing had a good game. A large crowd caught at least the end of the Warriors match and probaly recognised more players in the curtain raiser. Still no idea who played for either Legends team as there was no programme (for their match). The Warriors of course produced a 'Challenge Rugby' programme for free (except for Louie who took as many as he could to try and sell later on)
