Even better than the previous years clash! The Warriors were already assured a good turn out as they were playing in Bonar country but had the extra 'bonus' of Dai Williams and Trevor Jones crossing the dressing room to make debuts for the club whilst Nigel Mils returned to fill his position from the previous match. So they were able to proceed without late arrivals Lee Mole Rowlands and Mathew Coelho. 8 players scored whilst Dai Spriggs scored 13 points to reach a round 100 for the season. Whilst line outs went well there were area that needed work; going to ground/releasing the ball (Chris), staying in the backs (Mike), drop goals (Gwilym) and catching (Dean). Colin Campese celebrated his birthday with the man of the match award, sharing it with Chris Bonar. Chris gave an all action performance with some driving runs whilst Colin scored one try, saved another and gave Deano some pointers for playing scrum half.
In the Club the Italy v Wales match was easily overshadowed by the raffle/re raffle/auction which raised £200 and a top sing song. Aided by a free barrel from the sponsors the Warriors contributed fully to the sing song. Walley of course did his standard Paper Roses but for once was overshadowed by Jumpin' John's Yellow Submarine and Colin's Birthday song. There was also an 'interesting' version of the haka from Jason and Chris. The fastest movment of the day though came not from a player but supporter Rhian David shooting up to get her raffel prize of a bottle of wine.
These general shenanigans are responsible for the inaccurate report which went into the paper.
